The National Accounts (NA) is an accounting system that summarises and describes the country's economic activities and development. The National Accounts include calculations of the Gross domestic product (GDP), real sector accounts and financial accounts.
2024-06-20: An error was discovered late in the process of finalising the Financial accounts that could not be corrected in time for publishing. Households' pension funds reserves (FA63, counterpart-sector S128) are double-counted for the period 1995-2001. This also affects the publication of National Wealth. Therefore, a correction will take place on 2024-06-24.”
2024-05-30: The National Accounts have been revised following a benchmark revision. For a description of the main elements of the revision, please refer to the section More Information. Revised series are available for the years and quarters 1993-2024kv1. Years and quarters prior to 1993 will be disseminated in conjunction with the release of figures for the first quarter of 2025, in May of 2025.
2024-04-08: An error has been detected in the National Wealth published on 14 March 2024. The error is due to the fact that a preliminary version of the Financial Accounts’ balances was used in the creation of the National Wealth, instead of the final version. This created some differences between the National Wealth and the Financial Accounts. The National Wealth is therefore now being republished with the correct balances.

2024-05-30
GDP increased by 0.7 percent in the first quarter 2024, seasonally adjusted and compared with the previous quarter. The largest contribution was from changes in inventories. Calendar adjusted and compared with the first quarter of 2023, GDP increased by 0.7 percent.
