Development of new enterprises

Newly started enterprises are highly significant for the socio-economic development of society. When new enterprises begin operations they generate growth, employment and exports, as long as they develop and are productive. To evaluate the significance of new operations for our economy, they should be followed up over a longer period.

In light of this, the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy Analysis has assigned Statistics Sweden to study those enterprises that began operations in 2008, with respect to business development during the first three years of operations. The Swedish Agency for Growth Policy Analysis is a government agency whose role is to improve the basis for growth policy.
