High-level meeting of the Swedish Presidency

On 12 and 13 April, the Swedish Presidency will host a high-level meeting “Statistical leadership in the emerging digital societies” for Directors-Generals/Presidents of national statistical institutes. The event, co-organised by Eurostat, will take place in Stockholm at the World Trade Center Venue.
The high-level meeting will provide an opportunity for discussion and sharing of experiences and ideas on how to strengthen the dimensions of statistical leadership in the emerging digital societies with a view to increase the use of official statistics in policy development and decision-making.

Venue
The meeting will be held at the World Trade Center located in Stockholm city centre, about 2 minutes’ walk from the central train station.
The main entrance to the meeting venue is located on Klarabergsviadukten 70, Stockholm but it can also be accessed from Kungsbron 1, Stockholm.
Travel from the airport to Stockholm
By train
The Arlanda Express runs non-stop (usually every 15 minutes) between Stockholm and the Arlanda Airport (ARN) and takes 18 minutes. If you are travelling from Arlanda to Stockholm, you could buy your tickets online, at the airport's information desks or in the Arlanda Express self-service machines located next to the escalators/lifts leading to the platforms. There are escalators/lifts down to the train from all terminals. Tickets and Arlanda Express timetables are available on Arlanda Express´ homepage. The train goes to Stockholm's Central Station, only 2 minutes’ walk from the conference venue.
When arriving to Stockholm's Central Station, enter the station building and take the escalator up to the bus station. The escalator is located to the right when you enter the building. After taking the escalator up, exit the building via the main entrance. You will find the entrance to World Trade Center next to the bus station at Klarabergsviadukten 70.
By taxi
You can reach Stockholm City Centre by taxi from the Arlanda Airport (ARN) within a 40-minutes’ drive. You will find the taxi pick-up areas outside all the Stockholm Airport Terminals. Rates are around 40-55 €. You can pay the taxi companies with either cash or any major credit card.
Social programme
The first day’s programme will be followed by a guided tour and dinner at Nobel Prize Museum, located in the Old Town of Stockholm. The social program will start at 18:45. For those who wish, there will be a bus leaving from World Trade Centre to the museum at 18:25. The bus will stop outside the Royal Palace located close to the museum. Please bear in mind that the streets in Old Town of Stockholm are covered with cobblestone.
