  • Sales of tenant-owned flats amounted to SEK 247 billion

    In 2023, 91 568 tenant-owned flats were sold for a total value of SEK 247 billion, this is more than SEK 53 billion or almost 18 percent lower than in the previous year. The average price for a tenant-owned flat fell by almost 3 percent, from SEK 2.771 million in 2022 to SEK 2.696 million in 2023.

  • Real estate for SEK 282 billion changed owner in 2023

    There were almost 112 000 granted registrations of title in 2023, which is almost 24 000 less than in 2022. Excluding heritage, exchanges, gifts and mergers there were 81 000 registrations of title with a purchase price. The total purchase price for these properties was just less than SEK 282 billion, which is SEK 112 billion less than previous year.

  • Real estate prices for one- or two-dwelling buildings fell in the first quarter 2024

    Prices according to the Real Estate Price Index for one- or two-dwelling buildings fell by almost 1 percent at national level in the first quarter 2024 compared with the previous quarter. The statistics are reported after the date of purchase, that is, the date when the buyer becomes the new owner.

    Real estate prices for one- or two-dwelling buildings declined by 10 percent at national level in 2023 compared with 2022. Real estate prices for an equivalent comparison for buildings for seasonal and secondary use declined by 12 percent. The statistics are reported after the date of purchase, that is, the date when the buyer becomes the new owner.
