  • Foreign trade in services slows down

    The foreign trade in services continued to grow during the fourth quarter of 2023 compared to the same period the year before. Growth figures are however notably lower compared to the elevated numbers observed since the onset of the pandemic recovery in 2021.

  • Low trade balance amidst strong services trade remains

    Foreign trade in services increased at a steady pace during the second quarter of the year compared to the same period last year. However, the low trade balance persisted, which was mainly due to a large negative balance in the aggregate other business services.

  • Trade in services continues upward

    Foreign trade in services increased during the first quarter of the year, compared to the same period last year. However, the low trade balance persisted. The main reasons for this were negative balances in both use of intellectual property and other business services.

  • Continued strong trade in services for the last quarter of the year

    The positive trend in foreign trade in services continued during the fourth quarter of 2022. Both exports of services and imports of services increased compared to the same period last year. Imports were stronger than exports, which resulted in a low net balance.
