  • Many satisfied with their work

    About half of those who graduated from an upper secondary vocational programme three years ago and now work have an occupation that largely corresponds to their education. Among them, more than half are of the opinion that they have learnt what is needed for their work, and an equally large proportion are very satisfied with their work.

  • More graduates from higher vocational education in work in 2022

    The labour market for higher vocational education graduates has started to recover after the covid-19 pandemic. Once again, more than 90 percent of graduates now have work as their primary activity the year after graduating. However, the proportion of those working in occupations that are consistent with their attended programme has not yet returned to the pre-pandemic level.

  • Entry into the labour market among people who completed higher education in 2017/18

    Most graduates of higher education in 2017/18 quickly found a job that for the most part matched their higher education studies. Graduates from programmes leading to a professional qualification found a matching job quickest: half of them found a job already before they graduated. Three years after graduating from higher education, 9 in 10 had work as their main activity

  • Over 9 out of 10 have a job after graduating from higher education

    Of the graduates from higher education, over 9 out of 10 had work as their main activity in spring 2017, which is three years after graduation. Among the graduates from upper secondary school, more than half of them had work as main activity, while about four out of ten mainly studied.
