  • Remote education for employees has increased significantly

    The rapid technological advancement and the coronavirus pandemic have contributed to an increased pace of adaptation and a higher demand for digital solutions in conducting education. This can be noted in all education but particularly within employer sponsored education and training. From 2016 to 2022, the proportion of remote employer sponsored education and training has increased from 5 to 35 per cent.

  • Six out of ten employed persons took part in staff training

    Six out of ten employed persons aged 25–64 took part in staff training during a twelve-month period between 2015 and 2016. Staff training was most common among highly educated persons, and thereby also in occupational groups that require university studies. Three out of four participants consider that the staff training activity was useful to a large or fairly large extent within 12 months.

  • High participation rate in education among adults

    Roughly 3.5 million people aged 25–64 took part in some form of education, course or study circle during a twelve-month period. This corresponds to 72 percent of the adult population, the highest rate in the EU.
