Capacity utilisation in industry increased

Capacity utilisation in industry increased by 0.5 percentage points in the third quarter of 2019 compared with the second quarter of 2019 in seasonally adjusted figures.
This increase in capacity utilisation in industry means that the level of utilisation amounted to 91.4 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
On an annual basis, capacity utilisation increased by 0.4 percentage points compared with the third quarter of 2018 and amounted to 91.3 percent in calendar adjusted figures.
The figures for the third quarter of 2019 are preliminary. Since the previous publication, capacity utilisation in the second quarter of 2019 compared with the first quarter of 2019 has been revised upwards by 0.1 percentage points, to 90.9 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
The change in capacity utilisation in the second quarter of 2019 compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year remains unchanged.
