Capacity utilisation in industry decreased

Capacity utilisation in industry decreased by 2.1 percentage points in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared with the third quarter of 2019 in seasonally adjusted figures.
This decrease in capacity utilisation in industry means that the level of utilisation amounted to 89.2 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
On an annual basis, capacity utilisation decreased by 1.3 percentage points compared with the fourth quarter of 2018 and amounted to 89.1 percent in calendar adjusted figures.
The figures for the fourth quarter of 2019 are preliminary. Since the previous publication, capacity utilisation in the third quarter of 2019 compared with the second quarter of 2019 remains unchanged, in seasonally adjusted figures.
The change in capacity utilisation in the third quarter of 2019 compared with the corresponding quarter a year ago decreased by 0.1 percentage points to 91.2 percent in calendar adjusted figures.
