The report describes the use of AI among and within enterprises as well as how innovation activity and the use of AI technologies relate to one another. Enterprises’ R&D in the field of AI during 2019 and 2021 is described and put in relation to total R&D and the general trend between these years. The survey Innovation in the government sector, which are statistics under development, enables analyses of how the government sector’s systematic innovation activity affects innovation in the workplaces and the use of AI.

The analysis in this report links microdata from the surveys Research and Development in Sweden, Community Innovation Survey, Innovation in the Public Sector and ICT usage in Enterprises.
