  • Household finances general statistics

    The statistics show the number of full-time staff aged 20-64 who are supported via social assistance or benefits such as sickness benefit, sickness and activity compensation, unemployment benefit and economic support. It also contains information on fees for childcare and care of the elderly by municipality.

  • Household budget survey (HBS)

    The statistics cover expenditures in different household groups and how expenditures are distributed among different goods and services. One of the most important tasks of statistics is to discover and highlight groups that are vulnerable in some respect. The survey have been carried out since 1958. The survey will be conducted in 2026 and then every five years starting in 2030.

    Housing costs

    The statistics show households' housing costs in different forms of tenure. Housing costs are also related to household income. The statistics on housing costs previously belonged to the survey Household Finances (HEK), but since 2015 the statistics are located in this survey. The survey will be conducted every two years 2024-2030 and thereafter at 2-3 year intervals.

  • Distributional analysis system for income and transfers

    FASIT is a micro-simulation model that calculates effects of changes in tax, fee and transfer systems for individuals and households. It is possible to calculate how changes to these systems affect different groups in society and the effect they have on public finances.

    Firm Register and Individual Data Bases (FRIDA)

    FRIDA is a micro-level database with links between enterprises and sole proprietors that can be used to calculate tax effects and gives information on how enterprises could adjust their behaviour in case of various changes in tax legislation.

    Household's finances

    The survey has been terminated. Income statistics for households is now part of the survey Income and taxes. The statistics on housing costs are included in the survey Housing costs. The statistics on housing for households are presented in the survey Household housing costs.

    Households' assets and debts

    The statistics show households' assets and debts for 1999-2007. The statistics show the distribution and composition of the population's assets and debts.

    Households' housing

    The data on households' housing is a yearly survey comprising Sweden's registered population. The statistics provide information on type of housing and space standard for households and individuals.

    Income and tax statistics

    The statistics show the distribution of incomes and taxes for individuals and households, and are available by county, municipality, sex, age, country of birth, occupation and level of education. The statistics are based on a total population survey, thus making it suitable for regional analysis.

    Longitudinal Individual Data Base (LINDA)

    LINDA is a sample-based longitudinal individual database that is directed primarily to researchers. The main purpose of the database is to provide researchers with the opportunity to study income development for different groups over a long period. Data is available for the years 1968–2018. LINDA is no longer updated.
