Real estate tax assessment in 2020
Property holdings assessed at SEK 10 500 billion
The assessed value of all taxable real estate in Sweden increased by SEK 347.8 billion, corresponding to 3.4 percent, in the 2020 simplified and special assessment of real estate. The total assessed value of all taxable real estate in Sweden is SEK 10 467 billion.
The increase of 19.5 percent for agriculture and forestry units is mainly due to the simplified assessment of this type of real estate carried out in 2020. The total assessed value of agriculture and forestry units is SEK 1 357.9 billion.
For other assessed units that have been subject to a special assessment, the change in tax values has been marginal. The total assessed value of one- or two-dwelling building units increased by 0.9 percent. The total assessed value of multi-dwelling building and commercial building units increased by 1.9 percent. The total assessed value of industrial units increased by 1.3 percent.
There has been a relatively large increase in the number of assessed units for owner-occupied dwelling units between 2019 and 2020. The number of assessed units has increased from 1 328 to 2 112, an increase of 784 assessed units, which corresponds to an increase of 59 percent.
One- or two-dwelling buildings, built (type code 220), with the highest average assessed value, SEK 9 424 000, are located in Danderyd municipality. Buildings with the lowest average assessed value, SEK 189 000, are located in Åsele municipality.
