Gross pay increased by 6.6 percent 2022 compared with the previous year.

In 2022, the gross pay increased by 6.6 percent compared with the previous year and amounted to a total of SEK 2 128 billion. The gross pay increased by 6.3 percent for women and by 6.5 percent for men.

The gross pay increased in all counties compared with the previous year, with Stockholm County having the largest increase for both women and men, with 7.5 and 7.6 percent respectively.

The largest increase in gross pay was noted in hotels and restaurants

The gross pay increased in all industries. The largest increase in gross pay was noted in hotels and restaurants, at 23.2 percent compared with the prevouis year. It was also the industry that had the largest increase in the gross pay for both women and men, by 23.4 and 21.3 percent, respectively.
