Statistics Sweden launched the new statistics Population by Labour Market Status (BAS) in May 2022. The aim is to give information on the supply of labour in Sweden per month, quarter, and year. BAS reports statistics based on administrative data on the number of employed, unemployed and people outside the labour force for the population aged 15 to 74 years. Initially, BAS constitutes so-called statistics under construction, but it is planned to be reported as official statistics in the long term. This report refers to preliminary statistics, regarding month and quarter for the period July 2022 – September 2022.
