In the second quarter of 2021, there were 4 852 085 employees. The number of employees increased by 1.5 percent compared with the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total gross pay amounted to SEK 518 billion, an increase of 6.8 percent. There were 132 000 job openings in the labour market, an increase of 52.1 percent compared with the corresponding quarter in 2020.
