Alice is the most common name for girls for the second year in a row. William is once again the most common name for boys, after a year in third place. Maryam and Matteo have risen the most in 2017.
Alice entered the top ten list in 2005 and holds first place for the sixth time in 13 years. In 2017, 888 girls were given the name Alice.
William was the most popular name for boys in 2017, 941 boys were given that name. William is in first place for the seventh time and is the name that has been at the top of the list most times since 1998.
