The inflation rate according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 1.9 percent in April 2017, up from 1.3 percent in March. The Swedish Consumer Price Index (CPI) was up by 0.6 percent from March to April 2017. In the corresponding period last year, the CPI was unchanged.
Price increases on international flights (43.6 percent) contributed 0.3 percentage point to the change from March to April. Higher prices on books (55.6 percent), banking services (5.3 percent), vehicle fuels and lubricants (2.7 percent), furnishing and household equipment group (1.1 percent) and clothing and footwear (1.0 percent) contributed upwards by 0.1 percentage point each.
Decreased prices on electricity (-2.4 percent) contributed downward by 0.1 percentage point to the change from March to April.
The CPI for April 2017 was 321.54 (1980=100).
The inflation rate according to the CPI with a fixed interest rate (CPIF) was 2.0 percent in April, up from 1.5 percent in March. The CPIF was up by 0.6 percent from March to April 2017. In the corresponding period last year, the CPIF was unchanged.
The inflation rate according to the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) was 2.0 percent in April 2017, up from 1.4 percent in March. The HICP was up by 0.6 percent from March to April 2017. In the corresponding period last year, the HICP was unchanged.
