The Producer Price Index decreased by 3.0 percent in March compared to February 2025. Prices decreased by 3.5 percent on the export market and by 2.8 percent on the import market. On the domestic market, prices decreased by 2.6 percent. The annual rate according to the Producer Price Index was -0.3 percent in March (3.4 percent in February).

Changes in the last month
The monthly rate of change was negative on the domestic, export and import markets in March. This resulted in a negative monthly rate of change for both Producer Price Index and Price Index for Domestic Supply during the same period.
The largest negative contribution on the domestic market came from lower prices on trade services of electricity. Prices also fell within refined petroleum products, chemicals and chemical products and district heating. This downturn was offset by higher prices on food products and computer, electronic and optical products.
On the export market the main negative contribution came from lower prices on refined petroleum products. Prices also fell within motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, other machinery and equipment, chemicals and chemical products, basic metals, pulp, paper and paperboard, computer, electronic and optical products, electrical equipment and fabricated metal products.
The main contribution to the decrease on the import market came from lower prices on crude oil. Prices also fell within refined petroleum products, computer, electronic and optical products, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, chemicals and chemical products, other machinery and equipment, basic metals, food products, natural gas, electrical equipment, other transport equipment and rubber and plastic products.

The annual rate for the domestic market was 1.4 percent in March (4.8 percent in February). The annual rate for the export market was -1.9 percent during the same period (2.0 percent in February). On the import market, the annual rate in March was -1.9 percent (1.2 percent in February).
The annual rate of the Producer Price Index was -0.3 percent in March. Compared with March 2024, prices fell by 8.6 percent on energy-related products. Prices increased by 1.9 percent on consumer goods and increased by 0.3 percent on capital goods. The annual rate of the Producer Price Index excluding energy-related products was 1.1 percent.
The annual rate of the Price Index for Domestic Supply was -0.4 percent in March. Compared with March 2024, prices fell by 9.5 percent on energy-related products. Prices increased by 3.5 percent on consumer goods and increased by 0.8 percent on capital goods. The annual rate of the Price Index for Domestic Supply excluding energy-related products was 1.6 percent.
