Food Sales 2023
Food Sales Statistics is an annual publication that describes food sales in Sweden. The statistics are based on cash register data from companies in the food retail industry. The publication is in Swedish with a summary in English.
The publication includes:
- Total sales of food, in current and fixed prices
- Sales by commodity group
- Sales of organic and private label products
What is a commodity group?
A commodity group is a division of goods based on the classification COICOP (Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose). The reporting is done for commodity groups within COICOP 01 (Food and non-alcoholic beverages) and 02.1 (Alcoholic beverages).
