Large decline in restaurant sales persisted in first quarter 2021

The restaurant sales volume decreased by 32.3 percent in the first quarter 2021 compared with the same period a year ago. The largest decrease in sales volume, 66.5 percent, was among hotel restaurants.
Entertainment restaurants recorded the second largest decrease, -59.8 percent compared with the first quarter 2020.
Turnover generated by restaurants decreased by 31.1 percent in the first quarter 2021 in current prices compared with the same quarter last year.
