Labour Force Surveys (LFS)
Upcoming publishing: 2025-04-22
The statistics describe labour market developments for the Swedish population aged 15–74. The LFS shows the number and percentage of employed and unemployed persons respectively, per month, quarter and year. It is the only source of continuous data on total unemployment and represents the official unemployment rate.
2025-03-14: Information about correction of trade unions and central organisations
In connection with the publication of the LFS in February, corrections have been made to trade unions and central organisations. The largest correction concerns the former Teachers' Union, which in 2022 switched to Saco from previously having belonged to TCO. The error was between January 2022 and January 2023 and the scope was at most 205 000 people who were part of the wrong central organization. In connection with this correction, minor corrections have also been made with regard to union membership.
