ICT usage in enterprises

Welcome to Statistic Sweden’s data submission page for ICT usage in enterprise. Here you will find information about the survey and can submit your data electronically.

ICT usage in enterprises is an annual survey conducted to measure the usage of various types of ICT systems and ICT-related technologies, as well as the prevalence of e-commerce. The results from the survey are utilized to generate Sweden’s official statistics, serving as a basis for decision-making within Sweden and the EU, as well as for debates and research. The survey is based on a sample of approximately 7,800 enterprises. A random sample is drawn from enterprise units with 0-199 employees, while all enterprise units with at least 200 employees are included in the census. The selection is made using statistical methods.

Frequently asked questions

Can we get a respite?

Yes, you may contact us via itanvandning@scb.se or on 010-479 60 65. Do not forget to mention your organization number.

Our enterprise does not use ICT. Do we have to answer?

Yes, since the survey measures the average ICT usage among Swedish enterprises, all answers are important, even from enterprises that do not use it.

What information do we need to provide if the enterprise is a part of a group?

The answers should only relate to the individual enterprise, i.e. the legal entity whose name and organization number is on the form. This means that enterprises that are part of a group consisting of several legal entities will only be responsible for the legal entity to which the survey is addressed (given that Statistics Sweden has not stated otherwise).

Do we have to report on activities performed on assignment?

No, the answers should only relate to the enterprise’s own activities.

Do we have to report on activities performed abroad?

No, enterprises that operate in several countries, should only answer for the Swedish part of the business.

On what time period do we need to report the information?

Approximately half of the survey will include questions on how the situation was for the enterprise in January 2024 and the remaining half will include questions on how the situation was in 2023.

Can I change my answers?

Yes, you can log in to the web form and change or add information. Remember, however, that you must “Submit” at the end of the form when you are finished.

Is the survey mandatory?

The obligation to provide information applies according to the Act (2001: 99) on the official statistics, since the survey is included in Sweden’s official statistics.

Publishing of the results

The results of the survey will be published in November 2024 on Statistics Sweden's website.
