ICT usage in enterprises

Welcome to Statistic Sweden’s data submission page for the survey on ICT usage in enterprises. Here you will find information about the survey as well as submit your data electronically.

ICT usage in enterprises is a yearly survey that is executed in the interest of measuring the usage of different types of ICT systems and ICT related technologies as well as the prevalence of e-commerce. The results of the survey is used to produce Sweden’s official statistics which are used as the basis for decision making in Sweden and the EU, as well as for public debates and research.

Instructions

  • The time period for the questions in the survey refer either to the calendar year 2024 or to the beginning of 2025.
  • Provided information should only refer to the enterprise whose name and corporate identity number is show on the web survey.
  • Commissioned ICT-activities should not be reported. The answers should only pertain to the enterprise’s own operations.
  • The answers for enterprises operating in multiple countries should only pertain to the Swedish part of those operations.

Survey timetable

The last day to respond to the survey is on the 24th of February 2025.

hat to do if I have lost my login details?

Contact us via email or telephone to receive the login details. Remember to mention the name of the enterprise and the corporate identity number.

Our enterprise uses no ICT systems or technologies or does so only in a limited capacity. Do we still need to respond to the survey?

Yes, all answers are important because the survey measures the average ICT usage among Swedish enterprises, including from enterprises not using ICT.

What information is required if the company is part of an enterprise group?

The answer should only pertain to the individual company, meaning the legal unit whose name and enterprise identity number is shown on the survey. This means that enterprises that are part of an enterprise group should only answer for the legal unit that the survey is addressed to.

Should ICT-related activities done by commission be reported?

No, the answers should only pertain to the enterprise’s own activities.

Should the answers include activities performed abroad?

No, for enterprises operating in multiple countries the answers should only pertain to the Swedish share of those operations.

What time period does the survey refer to?

The questions refer either to the 2024 calendar year or the start of 2025.

Is there a possibility to get an extension?

If you are unable to fill in the survey before the deadline, contact us via itanvandning@scb.se or +4610-479 60 65. Remember to state your enterprise identity number.

What questions are asked in the survey?

Is it possible to answer by paper?

No, there is however a pdf-version of an example questionnaire.

Can I change already submitted information?

Yes, you can log in to the web survey again to change or add information. Remember that you have to klick “submit” at the end of the survey again when you are finished with your changes.

Is the survey mandatory?

The obligation to provide information applies according to the Act (2001:99) on the official statistics, since the survey is included in Sweden’s official statistics.

Publishing of the results

The results of the survey will be published during the autumn of 2025 on SCB:s webpage. There you can also find the results from previous years surveys.

Legal Information

The obligation to provide information applies according to the Act (2001: 99) on the official statistics. The statistics are also regulated by the Ordinance (2001: 100) on the official statistics and Statistics Sweden's regulations (SCB-FS 2024:27).

The information provided is protected by confidentiality pursuant to Chapter 24. Section 8 of the Public Access and Secrecy Act (2009: 400). The results are reported at an aggregated level, which means that no individual enterprises will be identified.

Failure to provide information may result in injunctions. Consultations have been held with The Board of Swedish Industry and Commerce for Better Regulation (NNR) according to the Ordinance (1982: 668) and the Council of Regulations.
