Cereal harvest lower than average

2024-11-15

The total cereal production for the year is estimated at 5.1 million tonnes, which is 18 percent more than last year’s low production. The total production is also 6 percent less than the average in the last five years. Inferior and delayed establishment of both winter-sown and spring-sown crops in combination with early summer draught lowered the harvest below average.
