Weak GDP growth in the first quarter

GDP rose by 0.1 percent in the first quarter, in seasonally adjusted figures. Strong exports of goods sustained GDP growth while the rest of the economy fell. Household consumption, which showed effects of the coronavirus pandemic, fell sharply and had the largest negative contribution to growth.
