Inflation rate according to CPI 1.7 percent

The inflation rate according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 1.7 percent in May 2017, down from 1.9 percent in April. The Swedish Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.1 percent from April to May 2017. In the corresponding period last year, the CPI increased by 0.2 percent.
Price increases on accommodation services (12.5 percent) and package holidays (8.8 percent) contributed upwards by 0.1 percentage point each to the change from April to May.
Decreased prices on international flights (-17.4 percent), vehicle fuels and lubricants (-2.2 percent) and furnishing and household equipment (-0.9 percent) contributed downwards by 0.1 percentage point each to the change from April to May.
The CPI for May 2017 was 321.74 (1980=100).
The inflation rate according to the CPI with a fixed interest rate (CPIF) was 1.9 percent in May, down from 2.0 percent in April. The CPIF rose by 0.1 percent from April to May 2017. In the corresponding period last year, the CPIF increased by 0.2 percent.
The inflation rate according to the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) was 1.8 percent in May 2017, down from 2.0 percent in April. The HICP was unchanged from April to May 2017. In the corresponding period last year, the HICP increased by 0.2 percent.
