Household consumption increased in November 2024

Household consumption increased by 1.1 percent in November 2024, measured in seasonally adjusted figures, compared with October 2024. Compared with November 2023, household consumption increased by 1.6 percent, measured in constant prices and working day adjusted figures. In the last three-month period, consumption increased by 0.4 percent compared with the same period a year ago, measured in constant prices and working day adjusted figures.

Amongst the sectors that contributed positively to total consumption was Recreation and culture, goods and services. The sector increased by 3.2 percent compared with October, measured in seasonally adjusted figures, and with 6.9 percent compared with November a year ago.

One of the sectors that contributed negatively to total consumption on a yearly basis, was Transport and retail sales and service of motor vehicles. The sector decreased by 3.1 percent compared with November a year ago, measured in working day adjusted figures, but increased by 0.4 percent compared with October in seasonally adjusted figures.
