Low income standard is more common among children with a foreign background


In 2020, 8,5 percent of children under the age of 18, living at home, had a low income standard, meaning that the family’s income is not enough to cover basic needs. It is more common among children with a foreign background to have a low income standard, they also tend to have low income standard during longer periods of time when compared to children with a Swedish background.
